Sunday Worship at 9.30am with Kidzone
While many churches these days have a variety of services to suit different people, we believe our main worship service at 9.30am should be a time when we all gather together as people of all ages and backgrounds.
When you arrive you will receive a warm welcome from the welcoming team. You will also receive a printed service sheet that will guide you through the service.
We use traditional Presbyterian pattern for our worship time. However there is usually lively involvement from people, particularly when children are with us. Our music is a mixture of old and new. We have a music group that leads worship once a month and we have an excellent choir that sings on some Sundays.
About 10.00am children will exit and continue worship as ‘Kidzone’ while the adults will focus on the preaching for the day. At Kidzone there are all together activities and separate group activities where young people are introduced to Christian teaching and practice through hands on activity and fun. [See under heading 'Kids & Family' for further information].
Our preaching and teaching is thoughtful as we seek to interpret the Bible and discern the leading of God’s Spirit. We take seriously scientific discoveries like evolution, and the breadth of human experience. Because some people struggle a little with English, there is usually a printed copy of each Sunday’s sermon available at the rear of the church in a holder near the church entrance door.
When worship finishes with a blessing song, you are invited to enjoy Fairtrade tea and coffee in the main lounge.
We trust that if you worship with us you may draw close to God. In the stillness and in the words, actions, and images God is present with us.
